These earrings are the latest in my Round and Round series of kinetic jewelry pieces. They are inspired by my desire to create things that challenge one's usual notions of jewelry. I love to make pieces that incorporate moving parts and enjoy figuring out new ways of doing this. These hoops are handmade from sterling silver and each contain three freely moving brass ball bearings. 

These earrings measure 7/8" (22mm) in diameter by 1/8" (3mm) thick with a 1/2" (12mm) hole in the middle. The ball bearings are trapped within the channel of each earring; they move about, but cannot come out. They also make a pleasant sound as they roll around!
